What do I need to bring to class?
Just a pen and a well-rested mind.
Do I need to purchase any type of textbook?
No. The textbook is included in the tuition fee.
What type of payments do you accept?
Local Check, Money Order, Cash. Plus all major credit cards through our website.
Do you provide a discount for paying in advance?
Yes! The normal rate for Life/Health is $195.00, however if you pay in advance the cost is $180.00. The normal rate for Medicare/LTC is $100.00 but the advance tuition is $90.00.
Do you offer any refunds?
No. Please understand that like the state exam fee and license fee, tuition is non-refundable. A seat and materials are reserved once you enroll, so make sure you are able to attend the class before paying.
How many times can I take your class?
Once enrolled, a student can repeat any part of a course at no charge for 90 days after the course ends. After 90 days, the re-take fee is $50. After one year, regular tuition rates apply.
Can I take the Medicare class and exam before I take Life and Health?
Yes! The Medicare license is a supplemental license attached to your Health license. If you already have a Health license when you pass your Medicare/LTC exam and answer the “screening” questions satisfactorily your Medicare/LTC license will be mailed to you in a few days You can still take the Medicare/LTC exam before taking the Health exam, you just will not receive that license until you get the Health license.
Do I have to get my fingerprints done before I can take the class?
As part of the background check for newly licensed agents electronic fingerprints are required. It’s a good idea to do this before coming to class but it is not a requirement. Fingerprints can be done after the end of class.
Do I have to apply for my license before I can attend the class?
No. Anyone can attend the class. But when scheduling the state exam, a client ID code must be provided to Pearson Vue, either on the phone or on the Pearson Vue website. The only way to get the code is by applying for the license at nipr.com.
How do I schedule my state exam?
Call Pearson Vue’s exam registration hotline at 800-274-0668 to schedule your exam. The exams are given at the Raleigh Exam Center on Blue Ridge Road Tuesday through Saturday. The registration hotline is open 7 days a week. When calling, be prepared to pay the exam fee (currently $46.00)for each license exam. They may ask for John Quick’s “school code” which is #4166.
